When an object is scheduled to be published or unpublished at a future date, it shows Scheduled but you don't know its current status. My suggestion would be to show the Scheduled button with the same style as Published when Status = Published and use the Draft style when the status = Draft. In other words, the button would still say Scheduled but would be Green for Published and Orange for Draft as shown in the attached mockup.
